ABSTRACT

ON a subject which regards the welfare of the Country and the happiness of the Constitution, every man should write and speak with the greatest caution, the greatest simplicity and moderation. It should be supposed that all descriptions, every sect and denomination of people wish well to the Country and Constitution; otherwise they would not deserve the countenance or protection of the State; therefore, when men or parties dispute, the / welfare of the Country and the happiness of the Constitution should be the grand object and term of their disputes.
