ABSTRACT
First published in The Examiner, VI, 1813. Hunt’s Postscript to 1813 functions like his usual Prefaces, which introduce volumes by offering a brief retrospect of the year (see above, pp. 79–82, 203–5). As the Postscript title indicates, however, it appears at the end of the 1813 volume (without pagination), possibly to emphasize the survival of The Examiner and its editors after their first year in prison.
