ABSTRACT
The flood of inputs invested in defense did not pass by the IDF's ground forces. Authorized manpower (regular and reserve) of the ground forces almost doubled in the decade 1973-1982 (a cumulative increase of 75 percent), and the regular ground force complement rose in the same period by one-quarter (a cumulative increase of 26 percent).
