ABSTRACT
The Soviet attitude towards the two-way flow of information is profoundly paradoxical. As we have seen, the Kremlin and most of its client states are resorting to an impressive variety of methods to fight the penetration of uncensored news. Communist representatives at international meetings are in the forefront when it comes to denouncing ‘information imperialism’ and the mortal dangers of the unrestricted exchange of information.
