ABSTRACT

The Tetu Agricultural Extension Experiment was one component of the Tetu Special Rural Development Program (SRDP), the effort by the Government of Kenya (GOK) to test new ideas and approaches to rural development. Unlike the five other SRDPs, no foreign donor was asked to sponsor the Tetu Project; instead, the SRDP activities have been carried out by Kenyan government officials, with assistance from the Institute for Development Studies (IDS), University of Nairobi.
