ABSTRACT
The ensuing remarks should be placed in their proper context. To a certain extent, our research is a pilot study, one that attempts to test a certain research method and ascertain its usefulness in the analysis of Soviet decision making. The research was limited in both scope and purpose; it analyzed the attitudes of four groups, presumably represented by four press organs, toward one facet of Soviet foreign policy over a limited period of time.
