ABSTRACT
A relatively clear picture of the conservation response to oil shocks in the EEC had emerged by the mid-1980s, and associated with this was the perception of the supply side issues discussed in the previous chapter. This foundation provided the opportunity for several exercises in analysing possible future energy market trends within Europe, and the Community in particular.
