ABSTRACT
Hitherto we have been using the word “philosophy” to describe that form of enquiry which deals with ultimate questions about the universe. To this word there can be no objection except that it tends to be used somewhat loosely, and that in its literal sense it means no more than one who is attached to wisdom.
