ABSTRACT
To the discussion of the Rainer fragments of the Hecale by Theodor Gomperz is added an Excursus by Joseph Zingerle dealing with the palaeography. He argues that the four columns were not written, and consequently should not be read, in their present order. The principal points of his argument are as follows.
