ABSTRACT
Ovid’s epyllia, considered in detail, would require a large volume to themselves, since every story has its own individuality of treatment. Indeed, where so many have more or less similar outlines of plot, the reader is constantly impressed by the marvellous dexterity and resource of the author. All that can be done in a single chapter is to discuss the general characteristics.
