ABSTRACT
The global challenges of sustainability are so interdependent and involve so many different actors on all levels that they can only be addressed with a systems view. Systems thinking is therefore a kind of meta-principle for systems-related principles. Apart from the general benefit for sustainability of insights into systems thinking, I find three principles particularly relevant: foster diversity, increase transparency and maintain option diversity.
