ABSTRACT

During the Royal Commission's inquiry in Palestine terrorist activities against the yishuv continued, but on a much lower scale than in previous months. Palestinian Arabs were concentrating their anti-Zionist efforts on an economic boycott of the Jews, but Zionist intelligence services reported that they were prepared to renew the Revolt if the Commission did not meet their demands. 1 Acts of terrorism against Jews and their property increased in February 1937, even after the Government took stricter measures to improve security.
