ABSTRACT
Environmental politics 1 in France, as elsewhere, is an attempt to balance out the relationship between human beings and nature. To bring man (and woman) back down to earth, as it were. To take him off his cultural pedestal and plunge him back into a natural world of which he has always been an integral part:
