ABSTRACT
To obtain access to men convicted of robbery, permission was requested and subsequently granted, to interview in both a local and a regional prison. The method of selecting people for interview was, having constructed a list of all those with current convictions (from the Nominal Index cards in each prison, arranged by region) to attempt to interview all of them, since they were not numerous, and seventy-seven interviews were held.
