We strongly recommend that you do build a website to establish your brand and have an internet presence but you don’t absolutely have to have your own website in order to be found online. There are alternative ways to get an internet “store” without spending any money up front. For example, you can build a business page on Facebook, complete with payment processing applications like Payvment. Cost? Just a little for order processing, which you have to pay for any payment collection system. The downside of this is that Facebook could change its policies or cancel your account for some transgression and your store goes POOF. I do this but only in addition to building my own websites.
