ABSTRACT
The global movement to secure EFA works form a variety of starting points about global social justice but generally these have not been examined in detail. Cosmopolitanism is a term that has been linked with global justice. Initially used by the early Greek philosophers the Stoics, it meant literally ‘citizen of the world’. In its original context it connoted concerns and duties attached to a space that was common to all, not just bounded by locality.
