ABSTRACT
The formation of the holding membrane or container begins with the first contact. It is the first opportunity to get a sense of how the system at the Community Therapeutic Day School (CTDS) might be structurally coupled with the already existing system of the child, family, and other professionals. In other words, it is an assessment of the fit between the school and child. This is done through the diagnostic evaluation.
