ABSTRACT

Now that the most difficult work has been done in the initiating and planning phases of your project, it is time to begin executing your plan. In the initial stages, there may have been large spaces of time where seemingly nothing happened, such as waiting for a stakeholder meeting, arranging sponsorship, and getting approval of the plan. However, at this stage, the plan is executed and everything may seem to go very quickly and be in a constant state of flux. This is the point at which the role of the project manager becomes paramount as he or she works through the day-to-day implementation and coordinates the work of the project team.
