ABSTRACT
Considerations Mental health professionals regularly face professional situations involving ethical issues, ethical dilemmas, or other ethical considerations. This handbook is intended to be a “ready reference” for the most common ethical issues and considerations professional face in everyday practice. Part II has been designed to provide you with key points about such issues and considerations. It describes each issue or consideration directly and concisely. Because the language of ethics tends to be rather technical, we have endeavored to make Part II as user-friendly as possible. To save you the time and effort of looking up specic terms in the Dictionary section of this book, we have included denitions of key terms relevant to each topic right in the discussion of each ethical issue. Clinical applications of each topic are described and guidelines are presented. The following ethical issues and considerations are discussed in this section.
