Frank Janse was laid to rest here on Thursday. He won two Soldier's Medals for Valor in North Africa and in France in the big war ... the only mourners at his funeral were two old buddies from the American Legion Post 107 in Hoboken. Tom Kennedy, 78, a Korean War veteran and the post commander, received the folded coffin flag from the honor guard. ... Jack O'Brien, who lied about his age and shipped out for the Mediterranean when he was still 16, then took out his flute and gave a quavering, heartbreaking rendition of "Amazing Grace" over the coffin. The entire ceremony took about 10 minutes.
