ABSTRACT
A short history of Vietnam to 1966 written from the viewpoint of
the author who served in Naval Intelligence and as a foreign service
officer in Vietnam. The author shows that the conflict was much
more complicated than a mere clash of ideologies. The work
includes a brief bibliography.
