What is a ‘breadth of study?’

There are many and varied new, electronic technologies available to us, with a host of different uses, some of which were not even thought of when the National Curriculum was first written. Having a ‘breadth of study’ is to make sure children experience a variety of these technologies, for a range of different purposes, and that they appreciate the role that ICT now plays in our lives.
