ABSTRACT
Child sexual abuse is a hidden crime, and if it is difficult to establish the true prevalence of such offending, it is even more difficult to comment with certainty on offender characteristics. Research has inevitably focused upon those perpetrators within the criminal justice system; either in custody or subject to community supervision.
