ABSTRACT

To say that a person thinks or considers that something is the case is not at all the same sort of thing as to say that he is now thinking or considering. And neither is it at all the same sort of thing as to say that he is now stating what he thinks is the case. He is thinking if, for example, he is at this moment trying to decide something. But what he now thinks is what he has already decided. He may ponder, as he can scramble, hard, methodically, wearily or unavalingly. But he cannot believe something, or be at his destination, hard, methodically, wearily or unavailingly.
