ABSTRACT
There are exceptions to this pattern of diffusion. For example, the USDA-sponsared Green Thumb Box videotext system operated in 200 representative farm homes in Kentucky during 1980 and 1981. Stanford researchers who were charged with evaluating Green Thumb had an opportunity to observe use ofthe videotext system in low-SES as well as high-SES homes (Paisley, 1983).
