ABSTRACT
Freedom is only half of the story, half the truth. On its own, freedom is a negative concept that has to be complemented by its positive counterpart, responsibility, an awareness of being responsible. Freedom threatens to degenerate into arbitrariness or license if it is not lived in terms of responsibility.
