This chapter will begin to apply key themes and examples related to urban spaces in order to illuminate the concepts and theory relating to the distribution of environmental resources and urban issues. Of particular focus is the conceptualisation of city modelling and agglomeration, as well as the environmental implications during the process of urban growth and sprawl. Economic considerations of key themes in urban areas are then explored in detail with attention to housing, neighbourhoods, employment and services (education, health and crime).Transport and other connected infrastructure are introduced, as the connectivity of urban spaces

will affect the distribution of resources. As a final theme, issues of equality in urban areas are given important attention, as resource allocation have ‘affects’ and ‘effects’ that can be disproportional.
