ABSTRACT

A hand-held computer is a mobile device that might also be known as a hand-held. It is a pocket-sized computing device that has a display screen, with touch input or a miniature keyboard. Hand-held ICT devices include smart phones, laptop computers, cameras, video recorders, audio recorders, games consoles and GPS devices. Some have built-in keys so that they can be used to identify plants and animals (e.g. Wildkey). They can be used to fix a location very precisely. Hand-held devices allow children to record what they see/hear, using cameras, video recorders or audio recorders, or to produce written descriptions using a hand-held word processor. In addition, all these pieces of information can be e-mailed from a smart phone to people in the classroom or even on other continents.
