ABSTRACT
In addition to the CCPI, Germanwatch publishes the Global Climate Risk Index. This index analyzes to what extent countries have been affected by the impacts ofweather-related extreme events (storms, floods, heatwaves, etc.). The most recent available data from 2011 as well as for the period 1992-2011 were taken into account (for latest findings, see Harmeling and Eckstein 2013). With respect to issues of adaptation to climate change, the role of Germanwatch as host for the Adaptation Fund NGO network" has to be mentioned. This network aims at supporting NGOs in a number of developing countries by increasing their capacity to handle all relevant issues around the implementation of the fund-related projects throughout the implementation period (Adaptation Fund NGO Network 2012).
