ABSTRACT
6Before we start looking at how to provide high-quality supervision, it’s important to understand some basic ideas that underlie everything good supervisors do. This chapter will define supervision and present some “big ideas” to keep in mind as you use this book. It will also explain a bit about how a model of supervision can help you organize your approach according to your supervisee’s level of development.
