ABSTRACT
This chapter is designed to deal with the principles and practice of slum property compensation with special reference to the nature of physical structures and land use. These matters cannot, of course, be treated apart from the system of land and property ownership, but the latter question is taken up more fully in Chapter 6. It then leads on to a more general discussion of relationships between slum property compensation and market values.
