Attention Devices A T every second of waking life the consciousness of the individual is subjected to a continuous stimulation set up by countless objects that come within reach of his sense receptors during the normal routine of daily life. An infinite variety of things clamour to be looked at, smelt, tasted, handled, listened to, and thought about. Added to which the human individual must needs contend with his own inward feelings, states of mind and bodily aches and pains.
