ABSTRACT
Spatial thinking is important because it is an essential human ability that contributes to mathematical ability. However, the relationship between spatial thinking and mathematics is not straightforward. Sometimes, “visual thinking” is “good” but sometimes it is not. For example, many studies have shown that children with specifi c spatial abilities are more mathematically competent.
