ABSTRACT
Since human population genetic research (HPGR) aims to identify specifi c aspects of the diversity of the human genome, target groups are often ethnic minorities or isolated groups in rural areas of developing countries, whose members are believed to share the same community or group collective human genetic information. This chapter will suggest that these target groups should be considered to be vulnerable in respect of HPGR, and need specifi c protections.
