Pupils write their own definitions of laws. Share them around the class through presentation, swapping, display. Use to agree a definition of a 'law'.
Ask pupils what parliament, judges and the police have to do with laws. Resource 7 shows the different roles. It could be cut up and pupils asked to put it together correctly.
