Introduction The following code-pattern information represents an admixture of actuarial and clinical information. Actuarial data do not exist concerning all possible clinical configurations of the MMPI-2 and MMPI; however, clinical data based on observation and historical use do exist. Thus, we have integrated different sources so that the maximum number of diverse MMPI-2 profiles can be interpreted. By combining these two approaches, but using the actuarial knowledge as the basic matrix, it is possible to interpret all single and two-point codes, many three-point scale combinations, and even some four-point combinations. Because 18-and 19-year-old participants typically complete the MMPI-2, code patterns with importance to late adolescence are described when relevant.
