ABSTRACT
As each individual’s life unfolds, goals evolve, needs change. For some, economic issues and challenges are still of paramount importance in their mid careers and, as a result, make a strong impact on the type of job options those individuals will consider. The combination of earlier career choices and harsh economic climate may have had a negative impact on their career progression and current level of pay and benefi ts. Others may have been able to successfully climb the ladder and now seek career options that allow them to work in roles in which they fi nd meaning and personal engagement.
