ABSTRACT
The ve chapters in this section represent a broad range of thinking and research regarding the development of self-regulation and the underlying neural correlates of the processes involved. They re ect current thinking in the areas of cognitive and affective developmental neuroscience and provide the reader with behavioral and brain evidence for the processes involved in self-regulation. They also focus on conceptualization and research examining the development of these processes from infancy through adolescence.
