ABSTRACT
The goal of this chapter is to describe U.S. drug policy so that the following can be accomplished:
1. Teachers can use the study of drug policy as a vehicle for substance abuse prevention.
2 . Teachers can help s tudents examine family values as they relate to the history of U.S. drug policy.
