ABSTRACT
Students undertaking project work are expected to make greater demands on a tutor than when studying conventionally. I found that contact with the tutor through telephone, correspondence and class tutorials was higher on project courses than non-project courses and the level of satisfaction with the help received was also higher, especially on the unstructured (larger and more openended) projects (Henry, 1978a).
