ABSTRACT
All things must come to an end. Each counseling interview must close (closing), and each series of counseling interviews must terminate (termination). The time limits of the therapeutic situation, as with the other limitations, furnishes the counseling relationship with many aspects of the life situation. The appropriate closing of each interview and the termination of the counseling situation are both important to the therapeutic relationship.
