ABSTRACT
On the basis of the concepts presented Chapter 5 outlines the MAPP method and describes the various tools used. With the aid of a targetgroup-oriented, sustainable resource management programme in Mali (Projet de Gestion des Ressources Naturelles, PGRN) the method is then put to the test, and the findings are presented and discussed. The chapter ends with an appraisal of the method and an attempt to indicate the potential of MAPP and its limits.
