ABSTRACT
A treaty enters into force when it acquires full legal effectiveness as a source of obligations. The concept appears simple enough; yet identifying entry into force, especially in time, is a complex operation because it has to take into account all the acts making up the 'conclusion' - in its wider sense - of the treaty.
