ABSTRACT
In this book we have laid out a new approach to environmental sustainability and have called it ‘The Consumption Approach’. The extant approaches are ‘The Structural Approach’, ‘The Production Approach’ and so on. There was a need for a fresh approach because we found many questions were unanswered by the existing approaches. Not only have we enunciated a new approach but we have also provided a framework for the comparison of various approaches and a critique of the framework of extant approaches (Chapter 4).
