AEG of Telefunken. 1933 Jukeboxes were sold to distributors for installation of music systems in drink-
ing taverns. 1936 First tape recording of a live concert by Sir Thomas Beecham in Germany. 1939 Wire Recorders were invented by Marvin Camras in the USA and sold in large
quantities to the US Navy. 1940 RCA/NBC’s David Sarnoff installed secret recording technology in the US
White House and used the film optical recording technology.
