ABSTRACT
Edna McGunty, 75, suffering from arthritis and congestive heart failure, was admitted to the hospital this morning with pneumonia. She’s been restless most of the day.
Don Dolbach, R.N., has just come on duty on the night shift and at 12:15 am goes in to check on her. Sitting at the edge of the bed, her gown up to her hips, she is entangled in the IV line, and trying to stand up.
