ABSTRACT
Just as democratic institutions and civil society work towards the fulfilment of the political dimension of personality, and family life, friendship and voluntary associations towards the fulfilment of the social, so myth, art and ritual fulfil the cultural dimension of personality. Culture is the transcendence of the everyday, the creation of imaginary worlds. As for the economic dimension, few activities – apart from those of inventors and entrepreneurs – are fulfilling; nevertheless, economic resources are fundamental to all other dimensions.
