ABSTRACT
This chapter looks at the rolling chassis; that is the chassis systems and units of the vehicle without the power unit and transmission. It builds on material covered at Level 2.
VEHICLE IDENTIFICATION It is wise to always check that the vehicle is what you think it is. The fi rst stop is the vehicle identifi cation number (VIN). The one shown in Figure 2.1 is for a Peugeot 307 following the European Union (EU) standard.
