ABSTRACT
Energy costs are strongly infl uenced by the policies of utility companies and fuel suppliers. It is therefore important to have a good understanding of the supply side of the energy industry. This chapter explains the fundamental issues associated with the supply of fuel and energy, and explains how utility companies recover their costs.
