ABSTRACT
The range of facilities services to be provided and their significance to the core business will be variable. They may be
managed in an integrated way, grouped under one manager, or they may be managed in a fragmented way as separate services. All the services may be provided by in-house teams of staff or all or part of the services may be provided by external suppliers. Even where facilities services are provided totally by external suppliers, it is necessary to have an in-house manager responsible for coordinating the provision and liaising with the external providers, who has ultimate responsibility to the customer for the provision of the service.
